Sponsoring an Xploder is an easy, effective, and probably the easiest way to spread word about your ever-growing venture. This page will walk you through each individual step and break down how the entire system works.
When a new Xploder is rezzed inworld it is by default set to accept all type of advertising. From here an Xploder owner can login to the Tmy Entertainment website and select which advertisement categories they would like. The purpose of this ability is to prevent competitive advertising, in other words - a Club wouldn't want another club advertising, and a clothing store wouldn't want a competing clothing store to advertise in their location.
From here, when an Xploder is ready to Xplode (the timer has run out) an advertisement is selected from our database and a calculated amount is automatically inserted into the pot. When the money is added the local chat will be presented with a message similar to the following:

The actual amount which is entered may vary and is calculated by the following formula:
(((Total Advertising Funds) / ((# of Contestants in the last hour) * 24 * 7)) / # of Xploders in a region) * # of contestants
This formula works by taking the number of Contestants in the last hour, multiplying it by 24 and then by 7 to get the total possible amount of Contestants for the next week. It then takes the total advertising funds and divides by the potential number of Contestants in the last hour, This gives us a value of which the advertising funds would last for a whole week. Additionally this also increases the funding during offpeak hours to promote more activity during offpeak hours. It then takes this funding value then divides it by the number of Xploders currently in a region so that funding is limited per region.
Qualification for funding:To qualify for funding the Xploder must have a minimum of 10 contestants in it.This is protection to prevent people from defrauding the system.

Q: Why are we using this method instead of the old Xploder?
A: Linden Lab applied a "Wagering" policy which prevented requiring money for random payouts. You may reference the blog post here
Q: Why not just allow free entries and not use sponsorship
A: That is possible, yes, and has been thought about a lot - however, it would fall fast due to the fact that there would be less linden than entrants in some pots - this would cause many problems, So the solution was to seek an alternative funding source.
Q:Will owners of Xploders be allowed to take a commission percent still?
A: Commission will be given to the host from advertising funds only. This being said advertisements will generate a 5% commission to the hosts account, This is withdrawable at any time through the inworld terminal. The purpose behind this is simple, the Xploders cannot exist without willing hosts, and as such this promotes people to own the system.
Q: What amount do you take?
A: We take 5% as a service fee, in return we work hard to maintain the system.
Q:Will you change my scripts so I can take more commission? Please?
A: No and don't bother iming me about this either, I do not take kindly to it.
Q: What has changed on the Xploder as a direct result to the policy?
A: Due to the requirements of the policy when adding these features in the following features have changed:
- Owners do not get to collect commission from the players
- The minimum time limit may be no lower than 300 seconds (5 minutes)
- There is no longer the ability to set an minimum donate amount (as this would violate the TOS)
